The hotel registers the item
From the dashboard, a hotel staff member fills out a 30-second form: category (suitcase, phone, clothing, etc.), brief description and guest details (name, email, booking number). No need to weigh, measure or photograph the item. Lostit auto-assigns the correct DHL box based on category.
- Step 02
Lostit notifies the guest
The guest receives an email (and optionally a WhatsApp message) with a unique secure link. From there they confirm the item is theirs, choose the delivery address, see the real-time shipping price (calculated by DHL based on weight and destination) and pay by card via Stripe. All in under 2 minutes.
- Step 03
DHL Express picks up at the hotel
Once the payment is confirmed, Lostit auto-generates the DHL Express label, schedules pickup with DHL and prints the label. The hotel places the item in the free DHL box (also sent by DHL if the hotel is out of stock) and leaves it at reception. DHL picks up the next day.
- Step 04
Delivery and commission
DHL Express delivers to the guest's address in 1-5 days depending on destination (220+ countries). The hotel sees every status change in its dashboard. Once delivered, Lostit settles the hotel's commission (5%-12% of the shipping cost) to its bank account via Stripe Connect.
